No Spa? Pamper Your Feet or a Loved One's Feet from Home

Who doesn’t love to get pampered? Whether you are getting spoiled with attention, praise, or treats, it’s a great feeling to be cherished and appreciated—especially after a long, hard day. Spas are a particularly popular place to unwind and relax from the stress of day-to-day life.

With the Coronavirus pandemic raging across the country, many of these havens for rest and relaxation have been forced to cut their hours of operation and in some cases, close down all together. As Valentine’s Day looms right around the corner, availability for a spa appointment could be particularly difficult this year.

But alas, no need to fret! We’ve got you (and your feet) covered. Why not consider going the DIY route? With a little guidance, you can experience a truly amazing spa treatment for your feet, right from the comfort and convenience of your own home.

Needless to say, a really good foot soak with top-shelf products is not only beneficial for your feet, but will have you feeling relaxed and frankly, good all over.

Home Spa Treatment to Pamper your Feet

We have devised a few ways that you can easily treat yours or a loved one’s feet without having to venture out. To begin, we recommend first, setting the stage by pouring a glass of your favorite wine and queueing up a favorite chick flick.

After, you can begin assembling our list of recommended premier products, targeted specifically toward soothing and softening your feet. While a foot bath will do wonders for making your feet smooth and soft, it will also help you feel more relaxed in general and frankly, good all over.

Here is the list of products we recommend for an at-home luxury spa treatment for your feet:

1 | Foot Soak with Lava Pumice Stone Treatment

The first thing you need to do is find a basin or a small tub that is large enough to fit both of your feet. Then, fill it with very warm water and add one cup of Epsom Salt, as well as one tablespoon of baking soda per quart of water. This will help to soften skin and jump start the exfoliation process.

Next, add several drops of your favorite essential oil to provide a pleasing aroma. In addition, this will help to moisturize your skin and feet.  We recommend using a spearmint and lemon essential oil, as they tend to be extra soothing for overworked feet.

Next comes the fun part. Grab your wine and slowly take a few sips, press play to start streaming your favorite movie. Spend the next 15-20 minutes letting your feet luxuriate in the warmth of a soothing foot bath as you slowly inhale the aromatic scents emanating from the basin below.

Whenever you are ready or when the water has significantly cooled, grab your R&B Exfoliating Pumice Stone made from all natural volcanic rock. Next, gently rub it all around the soles of your feet to help remove that once hardened dry skin that is now loose and soft.

Once complete, take a towel and damp dry your feet in order to absorb some, but not all, of the moisture remaining from the foot soak.

2 | Foot Massage with Ultra Hydration Oil

Next, we recommend applying the Roots & Bloom Ultra Hydration Oil. You will only need a few pumps of the oil as it is super concentrated and a little goes a long way.

This luxurious oil has the consistency of liquid velvet when applied. It is light-weight, quickly absorbed and does not leave a greasy residue behind. For best results, it should be applied daily or as often as needed.

After massaging in the Ultra Hydration Oil, you should observe a noticeable softening of your skin right away, one that will continue to last throughout the day.

3 | Leg Massage with Luxe Butter Creme

Once you are done pampering and treating your feet, your legs are going to want to get a little bit of the same. For those who prefer cream products, our Luxe Butter Crème can be used to massage and soften your feet, as well as your legs and every other part of your body.

We recommend scooping up a liberal amount of our Luxe Butter Creme, rubbing it in and down your legs in a circular motion on both sides.

Then, rub the hydrating cream all the way up to your knees to massage the butter into your skin.

This Shea Butter and Jojoba Oil blend is the perfect way to hydrate and soften your skin as a daily treat or in preparation for Valentine’s Day, special occasions, shenanigans or fun!
